Spring Training

While the big leagues are spending their March afternoons in sunny Florida and Arizona, DCcityball's finest will be doing a bit of their own spring training here in not so sunny Washington DC. I, myself am hoping to be in midseason form by the time opening day rolls around -- I've been doing windsprints and jumping jacks here in a private practice facility, my 800 sq. foot apartment.

I've broken out the old medicine ball and vibrating rubber belt machine thing so that I'm in tip-top shape to serve the DCcityball community. I passed my pre-season physical with flying colors, and got a new contact lens prescription, improving my already eagle-eye vision.

Players all around the league are working on their game in preparation of opening day -- will we see the Bloop Singles unveil a new backhand-knuckle-floater? will the Bayside Tigers repeat as summer champs? in what week will the Swingers Evan Stancil open up that gash on his knee? These are the questions looming over spring training. Stay tuned for the answers, DCcityball is just around the corner!
